meteoblue uses global conventions for data capture and display. The most important standards are listed below.
- Symbols and pictograms
- List of symbols used for weather and other attributes.
- Coordinates and altitude for selection of locations.
- Hours and date
- Time, period, intervals in local and UTC time of data presentation.
- List of languages used.
- Information about the countries covered, their identification and their location attributes.
Standards are essential for presenting accurate weather information: time, location and parameter description are important to ensure that the weather information is properly presented and understandable.
In other words: "sunny with some showers - somewhere in Europe" is not really useful information ;-)
