Mathias D. Müller

Mathias D. Müller has created the meteoblue weather forecasting system. His work has been recognised through the Swiss Switch Award 2005, the European Meteorological Society Young Scientist Award 2006, and a Swiss de Vigier Foundation Award 2007. Mathias holds a PhD in meteorology from the Institute for Meteorology, Climatology, and Remote Sensing, Basel University, Switzerland, where he is a lecturer and researcher. He is president of meteoblue and responsible for research and development.

Karl G. Gutbrod

Karl G. Gutbrod is CEO of meteoblue. He came to meteoblue with 25 years of experience in international agri-business, as project and unit leader in development, product management, marketing, business development and information services. Karl has worked for GTZ, DED, Ciba, Novartis and Syngenta. He has lived and worked in Germany, Switzerland, United States, Brasil, Thailand, and China, and other places. Karl holds a PhD in agronomy from the University of Göttingen. In addition to his day job, he teaches courses on International Business Strategy at the University of Cooperative Education in Lörrach and supervises Bachelor students there.

Christoph Ramshorn

Christoph Ramshorn has 20 years experience as scientific program manager, research scientist, development engineer, and software integration consultant in the oil industry. Former places of work include Stanford University, Schlumberger, and Shell. His technical expertise is integrating scientific visualisation, geometry modelling, and simulation with industrial processes and value chains. He has initiated and managed various international collaborative industrial and academic projects. Christoph holds a PhD in geology from Freiburg University, Germany. As a glider pilot, he is keenly interested in reliable weather forecasts.

Roland Vogt

Roland Vogt specialises in experimental micrometeorology and meteorological measurement technology. He is a senior lecturer and researcher at the Institute for Meteorology, Climatology, and Remote Sensing, Basel University, which he helped to develop from scratch. Roland is co-founder and CEO of Metinform GmbH, responsible for providing high-quality meteorological measurement devices to industry and academia. Roland holds a PhD in meteorology from University of Basel, Switzerland. He is responsible for meteoblue academic partnerships.
