Add favourites

Registered users can create favourite locations by choosing a place in the location search and clicking on the heart icon next to the location's name, in the place list display, when they are logged in. The favourited places appear in their own place list display next to the recents list. To view the weather for a favourite place, click on the favourite within the list.

Manage your favourites

To manage the favourites navigate to your account under the section: "Favourites". Rename locations with the edit button or delete them with the corresponding button.

Create an own location favourite

Our users can now create and exchange their own places, using location favourites. These provide registered users with the ability to store any coordinates with a self-selected name as a location
.

How it works:

 1) Click on the location search box, so that the map appears. You can also enter coordinates in the search box.

 2) Once the cursor is pointing at the exact location that you want, then click on it, this will generate a list of suggested locations, click once more on the same location on the map and you will get the forecast for that exact location, alternatively you can click on one of the suggestions and instead receive the forecast for that respective location (Note: you can also reach the desired location by pasting the coordinates into the location search box).

 3) To name the coordinate, first make sure you are logged in, click on your username in the bottom left-hand corner of the homepage within the sidebar. An additional sidebar will appear. Your list of favourites can be accessed by clicking on "account".

 4) By clicking on "edit, the individual attributes (altitude, names of the place, etc.) can now be adjusted.

Important: The altitude above sea level (in meters) is important for a correct forecast, especially for the temperature. The altitude is automatically selected by the system, based on average  altitude of the grid cell. If this is not accurate, you can correct the altitude in the favourite management.
