Description SoilGrids is a system for automated soil mapping based on state-of-the-art spatial predictions methods. SoilGrids estimates are based on globally fitted models using soil profile and environmental covariate data. The 250 m spatial resolutions data sets were produced using automated soil mapping based on machine learning algorithms.

Description WISE30 is a coarser resolution soil dataset generated by ISRIC. The dataset was created using the soil map unit delineations of the broad scale Harmonised World Soil Database, version 1.21, with minor corrections, overlaid by a climate zones map (Köppen-Geiger) as co-variate, and soil property estimates derived from analysis of the ISRIC-WISE soil profile database for the respective mapped ‘soil/climate’ combinations. It can be used to address a range of global issues, assessments of crop production, soil vulnerability to pollution, soil carbon stocks and change, and soil gaseous emission potentials. meteoblue only includes a few variables, as most are already available in the higher resolution (250 m) ISRIC version
