Siemens Germany

Siemens AG is a German multinational conglomerate corporation and the largest industrial manufacturing company in Europe headquartered in Munich with branch offices abroad. meteoblue has been cooperating with Siemens on multiple levels, delivering weather forecast for smart building management systems and weather data for the operation of solar and hybrid power plants, especially in emerging markets.

Syngenta Crop Protection

Syngenta AG is a global giant, providing agricultural science and technology, in particular seeds and crop protection products, with its management headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. They have also been one of our key accounts since 2006, when meteoblue was founded. We deliver Syngenta crop Protection complex and tailor-made weather and climate data solutions for farmers all over the world.


Solar-Log was established in 2007 as a monitoring service for solar powerplants. Since 2015 it has been a subsidiary of BKW AG Bern. Currently the company provides monitoring solutions for more than 250’000 solar power plants on all continents. While the initial use case was real time radiation data for photovoltaic monitoring, Solar-Log has evolved to a world market leader for smart home management and meteoblue is the perfect partner to provide all required weather data for it.

Pessl Instruments

For more than 36 years, Pessl Instruments has been offering tools for informed decision-making. A complete range of wireless, solar-powered monitoring systems under the METOS® brand and an online platform FieldClimate are applicable in all climate zones and can be used in various industries and for various purposes – from agriculture to research, hydrology, meteorology, flood warning and more. We facilitate this by delivering a wide range of forecast and historical weather data, especially for agricultural use cases. In Co-development we have introduced market novelties like virtual weather stations and station specific forecast (mLM) together with Pessl.


Vitimeteo – as its name suggests – is a company focusing on winegrowing. Specifically, on providing winegrowers in Europe with weather and climate data essential for their line of work. Vitimeteo has been successfully cooperating with meteoblue for over one decade.


MeteoArena was founded in Verona, Italy, in 2008, with the intention of distributing high-quality weather data. Its clients operate predominantly in the segments of energy (particularly renewable resources), logistics and transportation, and financial technology (especially insurance companies). It supplies weather data in combination with information management tools, and thereby increases the clients’ performance and reduces environmental and operational risks. MeteoArena has been relying exclusively on meteoblue weather data since 2009 and is our official representative in Italy.


The WaterApps consortium unites a diverse range of organisations, from universities to businesses partners from the private sector, public authorities, and local institutions in Ghana and Bangladesh. The mission of the WaterApps project is to develop and offer custom-made water information services. The beneficiaries are small and medium-sized private farmers in peri-urban (i.e., located in the city outskirts) river delta areas, where water level fluctuations have massive impacts. meteoblue functions as the weather data provider.


Trans-African Hydrometeorological Organisation (TAHMO) is an international non-profit initiative, whose view is to distribute proprietary, low-budget meteorological stations across the African continent. The stations were designed in a hackathon-like competition in 2014, and now are being installed in the vicinity of African school buildings, where they also serve as educational tools. The role of meteoblue in this project is to provide historical and real-time weather data for measurement verification.
