Glaciers
Glaciers are found where more frozen precipitation falls than melted precipitation. The annual average temperatures in glacier areas are below 0°C.
Our p☼int precision weather forecast provides detailed forecast for each glacier up to 6 days in advance. Examples of glacier areas can be found in the navigation. These are the largest glaciers of Switzerland (composition by Luisa Fregnan).
Glaciers of three different Swiss cantons are presented (here their name and their area [km²] in 1973).
