Job description

1. Analysis, segmentation and prioritisation of markets and target segments, countries and regions
2. Definition and refinement of product concepts, for both existing and new products, including product design, positioning, pricing, promotion and management, based on specific use cases
3. Definition, agreement, implementation and monitoring of project plans for development of new products, in cooperation with other departments
4. Definition, refinement and management of the different phases (concept, development, launch-plan, operation, phase-out) of product lifecycle
5. Continuous improvement of company product portfolio management in cooperation with other departments
6. Definition, refinement and management of the distributor strategy
7. Establish, lead and operate a framework for working closely with company key customers, key accounts and development partners to define their requirements, lead product co-developments, organisation and preparation of regular exchanges
8. Analyse and upgrade the company operating structure to ensure the most effective delivery of services to the different customer segments
9. Represent the company in high level meetings, customer exchanges, conferences and trade fairs
10. Leading and developing a team of specialists to provide the mentioned services

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Business, Technology or Science), master's degree would be a plus
• >5 years of professional experience in product management, marketing and/or sales of digital products and services
• Proven skills and at least 3 years in project management in an interdisciplinary organisation
• Proven working experience in at least 2 different countries and language zones of at least 2 years each
• Proven experience in handling customers from at least 2 continents
• Fluency in at least 3 and C1 Level literacy in at least 2 languages, including English, additional language skills are appreciated
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills
• Hands-on experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word in particular)
• At least 2 years working experience in the weather industry or similar business
• Proven skills in prioritisation, time management and problem-solving
• Open mindset with an interest in weather and meteorology, high willingness to learn new skills
• Previous experience in digital marketing, meteorology, agriculture or renewable energies would be a plus
• Team player with high reliability and motivations
• European citizenship

Prerequisites

For your application to be valid, it must fulfil the following requirements:

• Must possess Swiss and/or EU citizenship due to restrictions on the granting of work permits
• School and/or university degree recognised in the European Union and/or Switzerland
• Report card or other official record of academic performance and grades
• Readiness to relocate to the area of Basel, Switzerland
